WeDon'tJustSellFilters.WeSolvetheProblemsFiltersWereNeverBuilttoHandle.
Since 1988, K Factor Filter has been the company that shows up when everyone else says the problem can't be solved. Fifteen other manufacturers said no before we said yes on one of our canal water projects — and that plant is now saving $600,000 a year. That instinct — to engineer deeper, stay longer, and not leave until the system works — is who we are.

Where We Started.
Who We Became.
1988
Founded in Hamilton
K Factor Filter is founded in Hamilton, Ontario as part of the Manurep Sales Inc. group — with a single conviction: that the filtration problems plants were learning to live with were actually problems that should be solved.
1990s
Engineering-First DNA
From the earliest days, KFF operated differently from catalogue suppliers. We did not ship a box and move on — we sent engineers, stayed through commissioning, and measured the result. That hands-on partnering approach became the DNA of the company.
2000s–2010s
Going Global
K Factor grew from a small Ontario filtration company into an internationally active manufacturer — serving automotive, pulp & paper, food & beverage, chemical, oil & gas, and precision machining across the US, Canada, the Gulf region, and through technology partnerships in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Today
Four Technology Lines
K Factor's engineering team designs, manufactures, and commissions four distinct filtration technology lines — media, pressure, vacuum, and magnetic separation — from our facility at 51 Covington Street, Hamilton, Ontario. Every system is custom-engineered. Every installation is supported on-site.
Our Mission
Deliver innovative high-performance filtration that adds value — through a superior customer experience.
That means a plant engineer in Windsor who has been fighting a filtration problem for six months gets a solution that works — not a quote for a catalogue product that almost fits. It means a facility manager in Abu Dhabi gets the same on-site commissioning support as one in Detroit. We measure our success by your process uptime, not our invoice total.
Our Vision
To be recognised as the world's most respected provider of innovative filtration solutions.
Not the largest. Not the cheapest. The most respected — because respect is earned by solving the problems other suppliers walked away from, by showing up when it matters, and by building relationships that outlast any single project.
The Seven Values That Drive Every Decision
These are not values we wrote for a brochure. They are the operating principles that govern how we assess problems, interact with clients, and hold ourselves accountable to outcomes — not outputs.
Passion
We love what we do. Industrial filtration is not a commodity to us — every application is an engineering challenge with a real cost attached to getting it wrong.
Innovation
Imagine → Think → Innovate. The GT-MAG's Gravity Tunnel, the KĀV's 27 inHg vacuum, the PAC-MAG's 12,800 Gauss field — none exist because we accepted the market's existing answer.
Integrity
We tell you when a simpler solution will work better than a complex one — even if the complex one is more profitable for us. Integrity is the reason clients come back.
Accountability
When a system underperforms, we do not blame the application. We go back, find the cause, and fix it. That accountability is what makes our 30-day trial risk-free.
Customer Focus
We treat every customer as if they are our only customer. The plant running 440 vehicle bodies a shift and the small job shop get the same engineering attention.
Teamwork
Our design engineers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing specialists work as a single integrated unit on every project — not as separate departments handing work between them.
Fun
Our culture is genuine and it shows in the work. A team that enjoys solving problems together solves them better. Fun is the atmosphere in which great engineering happens.
How We Think
Continuous Improvement
We strive for continuous improvement in our products, services, and processes by identifying opportunities and implementing change. Our four technology verticals are continuously updated as new engineering knowledge and partnerships bring better solutions to market.
Perseverance
We overcome obstacles with a 'never give up' attitude. A canal water project we accepted that 15 other manufacturers declined — 11-micron filtration at 450 GPM — is now saving the client $600,000 per year. Perseverance delivered that outcome, not a standard catalogue.
Five Global Technology Partnerships.
One North American Home.
No single manufacturer builds the best version of every filtration technology. K Factor's model recognises this — and it is why we have built formal partnerships with five of the world's most respected industrial filtration and engineering specialists across Europe, MENA, and Asia, making their technology available to North America through our engineering, commissioning, and support infrastructure.

Lenzing Filtration
40+ years of automatic backwash filtration engineering. The K-Optifil — K Factor's North American exclusive — has over 100 installations in automotive E-coat pretreatment alone. Also the technology behind our Cakefil candle filter line.

Esselent Solutions
30+ years separating oil and dirt from aqueous process fluids. Brings the Suparator oil separation and Q-Filter active vacuum belt technology — 1 micron filtration in under 2.5 m² — to our process-water and coolant solutions.

MHD Magnets
European leader in ferrous particle removal. The PAC-MAG, ROTOMAG and FLOWMAG technologies power our high-intensity magnetic separators — capturing sub-micron ferrous particles at up to 12,800 Gauss.

PaintEasy
Shanghai-based paint-shop engineering partner covering the full automotive coatings line — pretreatment, e-coat, spray booths, ovens, and wastewater/air treatment — plus EV battery coatings. Brings turnkey paint-line expertise to our pretreatment and e-coat filtration packages.

ICE — International Consultant Engineers
MENA-region engineering partner since 2001 with 300+ delivered projects. Covers oil & gas engineering, asset integrity management, cathodic protection, and corrosion & inspection across power, infrastructure, and heavy industry.
Quality Built In, Not Inspected In
K Factor Filter operates under a documented Quality Management System through Manurep Sales Inc. This is not a wall decoration. It is the process discipline that ensures every custom-engineered system leaves our Hamilton facility at the same standard regardless of project size, client size, or delivery pressure.
Our quality policy is simple: we partner with customers to improve their processes, we provide the highest quality solutions possible, and we deliver to the customer's timeline. Every project is driven by a single target — 100% customer satisfaction.
What our quality system means for your project
Design review
Every solution is reviewed against the application specification before manufacturing begins — catching problems on paper, not on the shop floor.
Documentation
Complete design, manufacturing, and commissioning records maintained for every system.
Supplier accountability
Our vendors are held to documented quality expectations — their performance directly affects yours.
