FlowMag and FlowMag Plus for Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Scale Control

Upstream and midstream oil and gas operations face scale problems no other industry confronts at the same scale: high-pressure produced water with calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate, and barium scale tendencies; injection water with hardness that scales heat exchangers and well-bore tubulars; sour service environments with H₂S and CO₂ that aggressively attack chemical dosing systems.

FlowMag Plus — with its higher pressure rating and chemical-resistance coating — installs in upstream produced water lines, injection circuits, and high-pressure process water systems where the standard FlowMag cannot be specified.

    Oil & gas applications

Produced water circuits. Calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate, and iron scale in produced water handling lines, separators, and treatment equipment. FlowMag Plus installs in high-pressure produced water lines where chemical antiscalant systems are difficult to maintain in remote unmanned facilities.

Water injection lines. Scale prevention in injection water circuits feeding waterflood operations — protecting injection pumps, tubulars, and downhole equipment from scale-related flow restriction and corrosion under deposit.

Heat exchanger protection. Refinery and gas plant heat exchangers where cooling water scale degrades thermal efficiency. FlowMag and FlowMag Plus eliminate the need for antiscalant injection in these circuits.

    • High-pressure capability: FlowMag Plus rated for upstream and midstream operating pressures where standard FlowMag cannot be installed
    • Sour service compatible: Chemical resistance coating selected for H₂S and CO₂ environments
    • Remote operation: No chemical replenishment, no dosing pumps to service — ideal for unmanned facilities and remote production sites

Still running media filters that consume rolls every few hours in grinding?

K Factor's 30-day free trial is available for magnetic separation systems. We assess your ferrous particle loading, fluid type, flow rate, and downstream filtration system. We commission the appropriate GT-MAG, PAC-MAG, or K-MAG inline in your circuit. You run it for 30 days and measure the reduction in media consumption, coolant clarity, and tool life. If the results don't justify the investment, return the system. No invoice. No commitment.

Available to qualifying facilities in the United States, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other markets.
