PAC-MAG — High-Intensity Inline Magnetic Separator (MHD Magnets Partnership)
The PAC-MAG is the result of K Factor's partnership with MHD Magnets of Belgium — Europe's leader in ferrous particle removal for industrial process fluid applications. The PAC-MAG (also referred to as the PACMAN) is designed specifically for micron-size ferrous particle removal from degreasing fluids and similar low-viscosity process streams where conventional magnetic separators lack the field strength to capture fine particles effectively.
The PAC-MAG uses high-grade permanent magnets at 0.6 Tesla effective magnetic flux density (per MHD Magnets specification) combined with a decelerated, optimised flow path and up to 2.7 m² of magnetic surface area. The result: capture of micron-size ferrous particles — including sub-1 micron contamination that passes straight through conventional drum separators — at full process flow with no power consumption.

PAC-MAG 150
PAC-MAG + ROTOMAG system
For maximum ferrous particle removal efficiency, the PAC-MAG first-stage separator works in combination with the ROTOMAG second-stage roller-type separator. The ROTOMAG removes residual ferrous particles from the PAC-MAG purge fluid — recovering the process fluid and concentrating the ferrous solids for disposal or recycling. The combined system achieves near-complete ferrous particle removal from high-contamination streams in a single pass.
- —System stages: PAC-MAG (first stage) + ROTOMAG (second stage) — series configuration
- —Recovery: Near-complete ferrous removal; process fluid recovered from purge stream
- —Integration: Factory control system integration available
Best fit
High-intensity applications requiring sub-micron ferrous capture; degreasing baths and aqueous cleaners where fine metallic particles degrade bath chemistry; facilities where ferrous particles have been bypassing conventional drum separators. The highest field strength in the K Factor lineup — and among the highest available commercially anywhere.
Still running media filters that consume rolls every few hours in grinding?
K Factor's 30-day free trial is available for magnetic separation systems. We assess your ferrous particle loading, fluid type, flow rate, and downstream filtration system. We commission the appropriate GT-MAG, PAC-MAG, or K-MAG inline in your circuit. You run it for 30 days and measure the reduction in media consumption, coolant clarity, and tool life. If the results don't justify the investment, return the system. No invoice. No commitment.
Available to qualifying facilities in the United States, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other markets.
