K-OPTIFIL® Automatic Backwash FilterContinuous 1 Micron Filtration with Zero Downtime
Automatic self-cleaning media filtration system engineered for chemical processing, food & beverage, automotive, and power generation facilities. Manufactured in North America, serving industrial operations across the United States.

Engineered for continuous filtration.
Every stage — from live operation to internal mechanics and the full model lineup.
Continuous backwash. Zero downtime.
Watch a full filtration cycle: dirty fluid in, clean fluid out, and a self-cleaning sweep that runs while production keeps flowing.

Cross-section: how OptiFil cleans itself.
Process fluid flows from inside the candle screen outward. As particles accumulate, the rotating backwash arm sweeps across the screen and ejects collected solids through the reject port — without interrupting filtration.

Engineered for industrial duty.
The 250–350 flagship handles up to 500 m³/h with the patented sealed backwash arm — no media to replace, ever.

Compact entry size.
The smallest OptiFil model — same self-cleaning principle, sized for low-flow polishing and lab/pilot duty (20 m³/h).

Built here. Deployed worldwide.
Designed and assembled in Hamilton, Ontario. Installed across the United States, Canada, and beyond — backed by a 25-year track record.
Stop Manual Filter Maintenance. Start Automatic Backwashing.

| Limited to 25-50 micron filtration | Down to 1 micron particle removal |
| 10-15% water waste during backwash | <2% water usage with patented system |
| Frequent consumable replacement | Zero consumables — reusable media |
Automatic. Continuous. Maintenance-Free Filtration.
The K-OPTIFIL® cycle, in four self-cleaning stages.

Patented sealed backwash
Filtration runs from inside the candle screen outward. When the differential pressure across the screen reaches its set-point — or a timer elapses — the rotating arm reverses flow on a very small segment of the screen at a time.
The patented seal between filtrate and reject chambers keeps reject volumes under 2% of total flow, and the rest of the screen keeps filtering throughout the cleaning cycle.
Filtration Phase
The backwash mechanism stays in standby. Process fluid flows from inside the candle screen outward — particles down to 1 µm are captured on the inner face while clean filtrate exits continuously.
ΔP Trigger
Once a preset differential pressure across the screen is reached — or a programmable timer elapses — the automatic backwash cycle is triggered. No operator intervention required.
Localized Backwash
Flow reverses on a very small part of the filter surface. The high local velocity efficiently rinses particles off the screen and ejects them to drain — filtration on the rest of the screen remains intact throughout.
Return to Full Flow
The patented seal between filtrate and reject chamber keeps reject volumes under 2% of total flow. The arm returns to standby and full filtration capacity is instantly restored — 24/7/365.

Why Industrial Facilities Choose K-OPTIFIL®
Down to 1 Micron Filtration Precision
Capture particles as small as 1 micron to protect heat exchangers, spray nozzles, pumps, valves, and instrumentation. Ideal for pharmaceutical, food & beverage, automotive paint lines, and precision manufacturing.
Patented Low-Water Backwash Technology
Uses less than 2% of total flow for backwash — compared to 10-15% with conventional filters. Typical water savings of $15,000 to $50,000 per year depending on flow rate.
Zero Downtime Operation
Backwash occurs while the system remains fully online. Eliminates 6-10 hours per week of manual maintenance. 24/7/365 continuous operation with no production interruption.
Completely Closed System
Fully enclosed with no operator exposure to hazardous fluids. OSHA compliant for chemical and pharmaceutical applications. Prevents external contamination.
European Engineering + North American Support
Patented sealing technology proven in thousands of installations worldwide. Local engineering, installation, and service from our facility in Hamilton, Ontario. 6-8 week delivery.
No Consumables — Lifetime Reusable Media
