    How the Plastic Filter Works

    1

    Distribute the incoming liquid

Contaminated liquid enters through the header box and is distributed across the selected filter media.

    2

    Capture suspended solids

The liquid is confined between the sealing wheels while the media captures suspended contamination.

    3

    Advance fresh media automatically

As captured solids restrict flow, the liquid level rises and activates the cleaning cycle. Fresh media advances while soiled media exits the filtration area.

    4

    Return clarified liquid

Filtered liquid is collected below the media and returned to the process for continued use.

    Documented Advantages

Corrosion-resistant construction for aggressive process liquids

Automatic operation with no production stop for media advancement

No backwashing and no backwash-water waste stream

No solids bypass and no liquid loss during the filtration cycle

Application-specific media for the required filtration result

Available from 5 GPM upward for project-specific systems

    Plastic Filter FAQs

What is the K Factor Plastic Filter?

It is a fully automatic media filtration system built from chemical-resistant plastics selected for the liquid and corrosive agents in the application.

    What flow rates are available?

The published range starts at 5 GPM. Larger systems are engineered to the required flow, chemistry, solids loading, and installation conditions.

Does the Plastic Filter require backwashing?

No. When the media loads with solids, the liquid level rises and triggers the system to advance fresh media automatically.

Which industries use a Plastic Filter?

The supplied K Factor datasheet identifies automotive and petrochemical applications, particularly where corrosion-resistant construction is required.

Need filtration for a corrosive liquid?

Send the process chemistry, flow rate, operating temperature, and solids details. K Factor will select compatible construction and filter media for the application.
